I'm getting really freaking depressed. AGH STRIKE. I feel so unmotivated and like I'm completely wasting time and money being here. Every day I get further and further behind in schoolwork, too. Like, when the strike ends? I will be buried in paper writing. I know I should be doing it now but I just can't. And I'm living in fear that the strike ( Read more... )

Oh sweetie! Since I cannot be there to hug you and squeeze you, possibly you might accept hug by proxy from the hugging machene? (bad reference to pushing daisies, I know, but I'm just so into that show right now!) Listen. The answer to homework is one piece at a time. Like in the morning, give yourself one piece to have finished by the end of the day and don't get out of your chair until you've typed at least 500 words. You'll find that you might even want to get it done at some point! Well, that was what I did in my 4th year of my BA degree when I was really, seriously stressing over workloads. If I can help with anything, you let me know, right? *hugs anyway*

Oh, you poor girl! There's nothing like enforced idleness for making you feel useless. And then it spirals... you feel bad about the things that are outside your control, which leads to not doing the things that ARE within your control, which leads to more badness ( ... )

Hahaha, Santa Claus parade! Wow, they started that early. I am home now, and yes, I got your email (didn't get notified, though... *frown*) and have since answered it. ^_^

When are you heading out East? If you do, I mean; obliged though you may be, you can always schedule a time when you aren't exhausted to visit family. Christmas is stressful enough, after all, yes? (Though I speak from within a family that doesn't care that much about holidays, etc, and yours may be rabidly fanatical in comparison.)

School is, uh, yeah. Not getting done. OH WELL. We're still on strike, I'm guessing I'm mostly safe?
