I watched the last Doctor Who tonight. The only good things I can say about it is I'm glad the old guy got to be a companion and I'm glad Donna finally got married

I think concerning the 'I don't want to die' bit, he didn't want to change from this particular regeneration, 10 gained a lot in terms of connections: Rose, Jack, Martha, Donna, Mickey, Astrid etc... and 'grew up' a lot. He probably fears to lose all that along with his face, because those people associate the Doctor with this version. With the inside of the TARDIS: with each new regeneration comes a new interior design, I get they wanted to change it in a spectacular fashion.
I entirely agree with all of the above. Matt Smith really isn't the best choice for the next Doctor and he was trying far too hard to be David Tennant. I don't think that he's an overly good actor either, I mean have you seen the preview for the next series?! If not it's here--->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0LcVA4MtOg

I give you that he isn't conventionally good looking, and he did seem a little Tennent-esque, but from the 30 seconds of which we saw him in in End of Time, Part 2 I was willing to give him a chance...
... but then they gave him a gun! I mean, WTF?! This is The Doctor - he doesn't do guns. From that scene with Wilf on the spaceship, The Doctor would rather die (and we saw the fuss he made of that) than use a gun, and only decided he had to use it to save the human race, the planet, and stop the evil!Timelords (which I wasn't expecting, and would certainly explain why James Bond has been doing his spy-thing since the sixties and why his face keeps changing -- James Bond is Rassilon!) and even then he didn't shoot anyone, he shot the machine.
And did you see the new Doctor Who logo? Very imaginitive *sarcasm*. I hope they didn't spend as much on that as the 2012 logo.
