Yeah, I wrote about this a year ago. What's really interesting is that some consider it a thousand years ahead of its time.

As for the Standard Model, I've recently been hearing about some new models for which things like the Higgs fall out of it. And there's unconfirmed reports that Fermilab may have skunked the LHC and has candidates for the lower mass Higgs configuration.
