I've read only one Patterson novel, Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, because I'm reading YA. It was... instructive. I'll have some words about it later.

Reminds me of Heinlein's Jubal Harshaw, from Stranger In A Strange Land. In a good way, I guess, as opposed to the ham-fisted (and ham-written) collaborations that have Tom Clancy's name stuck on them, but not his original quality. (grin)

I guess there is something to branding. (evil grin)
