Nameless Crit Group meeting

Had a good crit session tonight with the Nameless Crit Group, soon to be the Bodiless Crit Group. Subject of interrogation was the first quarter or so of Invisible House, filomancer's far future spacefaring SF novel. Gathering a good local face-to-face group is no easy task. Differences in the type of fiction being written, in style of critting, in writing skill level, in personality -- some groups tolerate these well, others do not. I believe you live in/near a major metropolis, and there are surely already groups in your area. It might be easier to find an established local group of sf writers than form one from scratch.

There are big online groups like OWW and Critters, and doubtless many more. Some are invitation-only. I've used OWW, and I remain a paid member, although I haven't submitted anything in a long time.
