Super slow useless comment but I watched Kokuhaku as well and I was pretty speechless after I finished it. O_O

When the teacher laughed after hearing about the boy's longing for his mum to recognize him, I initially thought it was only because she'd gone crazy beyond help. But the end made me realize, she was probably laughing because she could use that information to her revenge's advantage.
All those things which made the characters turn out the way they were really left a huge impression on me.
I agree with you on the "I don't know if I like it" part. Probably do, in certain ways.
Ya speechless right!!!! I think it was the fact that these young people who are barely into their teens were portrayed in such extreme manner. I liked the twists, but I find it hard to accept some of it as some parts were rather cruel wasn't it.
I don't know if I interpreted it correctly - but I don't think the teacher killed the boy's mother right? I think she meant to take revenge initially - really she wanted him to have a fate worse than death because that was what she felt he deserved from killing the daughter. But I think in the end he made use of the mum to get back at him but the bomb was not really placed at his mum's place....? That's what I hope to believe T_T
The most innocent party dead from this is Naoki's mum actually. From initially thinking that she was selfish, to understanding why she was doing so, and then to courage (when she was going to kill her child), and finally to feeling sad when she died. I was like, OMG.
I was quite pissed off initally because the lids were just so careless about everything. Like, hey grow up?!Then the class rep came into the picture and I thought - Oh, finally someone with the right frame of mind.........then poof, gone.
Naoki was sadly..............I mean, he just became part of Shuuya's entire plan and just made mistakes again and again till I did not understand what Naoki REALLY was anymore. Just a confused kid wasn't he (OH RANDOM THOUGHT - I thought the actor playing Naoki looked like Kame from KATTUN hahha).
But yea, at the end of the movie I was hoping that she was executing the revenge through the psychological play of mind, but not in actuality killing the mum ><
