So I have to say that the Golden Globes felt very anti-climactic, and I think the Oscars will be as well. Even though Million Dollar Baby, The Aviator, and Sideways are all great, strong movies that are well-directed and extremely well-acted, I just don’t think about them and get excited that they’re Oscar contenders and Golden Globe winners. Oh, Natalie's acceptance speech was cute. I'd probably be saying this even if had been like "I dedicate this award to Kid Rock," but she really was. She seemed very surprised.

Definitely a crap month for movies. I'm not looking forward to anything until Hitch, and that's just because it'll be silly and pretty. I'm told Assault on Precinct 13 is marvelously violent and fabulous, but that's my crazy editor talking. Seriously hope Don will pull out an Oscar win, no offense to Jamie or Leo.
