Thus ends my staycation week of concerts. As you probably saw from Jesse's journal, this week I went to see The Hold Steady ( twice), Jenny Lewis, and The Decemberists. OMG, you HAVE to go. The lobby is even better. But tickets to shows there are stupidly expensive, so it really needs to be someone I really want to see to get me to pay those prices. (I think Jeremy said this, but it's a perfect example: Andrew Bird tickets were like $18 last year, and $45 for Radio City.)

Yeah, a while back I had tickets to see Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova (can you imagine how gorgeous that music+venue combination would have been?), but I was once again called back to California. =^(

There's a whole set of earlier B-sides I've been looking for (granted, not very hard) to no avail: "212 Margarita," "Hot Fries," "Milkcrate Mosh," "Modesto Is Not That Sweet," "Curves and Nerves," and "For Boston."
