1) Hooray! "My Year in Lists" made it to the No. 18 spot on the Popmatters "Best Singles of the Year" list. I can take some credit for the ranking, and I got to write the blurb, but it being so far up on the countdown means that Jesse and I aren't the only two who voted for it, which makes me happy. i take offense to the 'mom's christmas tree' reference, id like to think of me as having the 'official family tree' ....no more cookies for you!!!!!!!!! (p.s., it does look great, though, and i didn't move a thing when i got up this morning - thanks for helping)

I changed it, even though all of my ornaments--including my "Baby's First Christmas" ornament--were exiled off the "official family tree" once I moved out. You're lucky I'm not going to insist that my new pig finds a place on the family tree! :P

We are having our cookie bake-off today at work. I ate cookies for breakfast. And I will continue eating them throughout the day. So, don't feel bad.
