Commencement Speaker: An activist whose name I can't remember--Jody Williams?--who wanted to ban land mines.

Wesleyan University, 2008:

Spring Fling Headliner: The Hold Steady
Commencement Speaker: Barack Obama

And their dorms are nicer, too.

I don't think our Spring Flings or commencement speakers were any better, but we never had forced triples.

I was IN a forced triple for one semester >:l. But it was a two-room triple, and I made sure to have the single half of it.

I'll pitch in an UNFAIR on behalf of the class of '02, too. Plus 02-04 all had to contend with that marble-mouthed dullard of a college president.

THAT is awesome.

I'm sure you'll hear this from the other Dukies, but our 2003 commencement speaker was Kofi Annan. That is, until he came down with laryngitis and we ended up getting a reading of his prepared comments as well as thank-you speeches from the honorary doctorate recipients.
