I've heard that if DC leaves a character killed off for over a year they lose some of their rights to that character (i'd need to look this up to back up that info, but the person i heard it from knows a lot more about comics than i do), and since Time Warner is making all the money off TDK (not DC), we kinda figured that they're going to bring him back before the year is out. Kill him off to bring attention to the comics, then bring him back before they lose anything. Hopefully.
Yeah, I mean it makes sense. Plus a world without Bruce Wayne is a sad sad place. <3
I'm pretty sure when Morrison writes his next thingie in June that it will deal with Bruce. And, truth be told, watching him throw off the colossal mindfuck that is the Omega Sanction could even be pretty cool. I just can't stand the thought of his Batman days being over... and I'll be irritated if it seems DC just "killed him off" for the controversy. But it's reassuring to know that there is most likely a concrete time limit to our Batmanlessness.
