Michael Keaton's Batman just happened to be on TV, and between giggles I learned that Jack Nicholson's Joker likes the artist Francis Bacon.  (He's vandalizing an art museum and stops one of his thugs from cutting up this painting, saying that he "kinda likes that one".  Heh.)

I had to write so many fucking analyses on him at college.

Yo, that suuucks. Quickest way to ruin a topic = study it in school. Did he seriously sleep with his uncle? ...There are some really crazy biographies about him floatin around online.

I don't know, we were told not to concentrate on the biographies unless it was clearly linked to the artwork - mostly we had to in-depth analyses about the paintings instead of the artist

BORING. I always tried to avoid writing about artists that I wasn't interested in anyway, but sometimes we had set assignments that said we HAD to look at certain people
