Very awesome. :> I missed out on getting Annabelle at my comic shop awhile back, and this is the perfect opportunity to pick it up with another book i wanted to get. :)
Cool deal. The only problem is that shipping is an arm and a leg. It's the only reason I have yet to get I, Librarian. Since when is it $5.50 to ship a comic via USPS? It's media mail for Christ's sake!
Not to bring down the good vibes though. You guys rock for giving those things out.
Just to comment real quickly here, the USPS option in our store is Priority Mail, not media mail. We do not offer media mail as a shipping option because of the length of time it takes to deliver and the number of packages which we end up having to replace for damages or for just never getting there.
If you are looking for cheaper shipping options I would suggest Amazon.com, where the Rex book I believe qualifies for free shipping if the order is over $25, or shipping is free on our site in the US if orders are over $50.
As for the cost of shipping itself, not much we can do about that. Postage costs incresed pretty dramatically for parcels back in April, so did UPS. The cost of shipping books back and forth (not just to you, but but from the printer to our warehouse, or wherever they may go) is eating up a substantial piece of the pie. Logic would dictate that if it costs you more to fill up your car, then it will also cost more to send a letter or a package across the country.
