You know what book would be really cool? A book about the economics of comic book companies. Like the companies in comic books. I want a detailed explanation and history of shipping and manufacturing for Wanye Enterprises and Stark Industries. For that matter, I'd like one for ENCOM as well.

Yeah, I don't know either. I've been thinking about that ( Read more... )

Oh-ho! That would be neat. Like ones that go on like the companies are real? o:

Yeah, exactly! Like who they partner with and how they advertise and where they ship to, ect. It'd be a fun write and read, I think.

Yeah and it would certainly fun for them to make up if they know both economics and comic books/whatever really well.

And I'm sure there are some really big comic fans who are interested in economics and who have the drive to do it (if they're getting paid anyway).

...that would be epic. I mean, in the Dark Knight, they touched on the finances of that company (that being the guy who wanted to catch Batman noting the money going in different places) but shit that's a lot of for some of those companies. :O

I love those scenes in The Dark Knight. Seriously, some of my favorite moments, haha!
But that's kind of what made me think of it. That and think about it: How does Gotham City not crumble in on itself? They're a shipping city, so that means they have to have some really good buisnesses going in and out of the port. Wayne Enterprises is probably a huge section of that, importing and exporting wise. It'd be cool know exactly how they connect to other companies, like how Kord Enterprises is a sub-section? It's a huge playground.

I like the way you think.

I've taken three types of economics classes and none of them are even CLOSE to sounding as fun as that kind of economics class.

That's because you're not taking a fictional economics class.

... Mostly because it doesn't exist. Probably.

Weeeeee should become experts in economics and write it. So that we can sneak in Blue & Gold, because it's a copyright of Kord Industries! xDD Y/Y/MFY?

Ohhhh, that would be really neat! An anime equivalent to that would get pretty ridiculous pretty fast.

Haha, it really would. xD Imagine a book talking about all the companies developing technology in the CLAMP universes. Wow. I mean you could have an entire book dedicated to the change from doing the Angelic Layer Projects all the way up to the persocoms.

Oh yes! That would be so marvelous. And I'm not sure if you've seen Catgirl Nukunuku, but I would love to see something about the economics of the evil Mishima corporation!
