but seriously I loved basically everything about this from fragile baekhyun to big handed big tooth chanyeol to drunk kris to awesome cameo tao and of course the curmudgeonly old caretaker.

I'd love to understand more about how chanyeol came to have such a creepy connection with baekhyun, like why he kept dreaming about him and stuff but I guess part if that is built into his painter of the bones image? And I wonder if kris really did ever manage to sell those paintings. I'd like to imagine everyone lived happily ever after but do hemophiliacs die from extreme burns? Did they even escape?? IM SO CONFUSED

Lol caretakers i love caretakers and of course they have to be old and grumpy but actually soft inside ♥

ACTUALLY lol it was meant to be kind of vague i was trying to play around with gothic lit conventions like the red room and supernatural things and ...yeah OTL i don't think i managed it very well XD

Vdenhverj been as I was typing my reply my computer decided it was time to refresh the page but what I was basically going to say was:

I MEANT GOOD GOOD JOB NOT BOOD OMG OK

And I'm just one of those readers that wants to know EVERYTHING regardless if the book is vague or not lol, it's got nothing to do with you lovely style.

But baekyeol lives happily ever after? My heart can rest better at night. I'll betbtheyre living together in a round house with lots of round furniture and instead of normal chairs they use beanbags or something. Yeah. And I love that, the image of dainty dwarfbaek sitting atop giantyeol's broad majestic shoulders as they go running into the sunset and discover the outside world again and just ncjiecnediunch ;__;

they do live happily after :3 Baekhyun moves in and sucks at waking up in the morning so he always forces chanyeol to carry him and chanyeol never ever trips on the stairs ever again and they let him cook and he will be ironically good with knives and likes to carve chanyeol's food into happy shapes and hearts and he gives Kris spikes and arrows and bombs and demons because they have a friendly jealousy thing going on. Eventually he gets a job at the florist.

you didn't see any of that.

BUT YES dwarf!baek and giant!yeol running across fields of flowers and into the sunset while kris sits on a picnic mat and sips on tea daintily.

I'm still a little confused about Chanyeol and Baekhyun's characteristic and the motives behind their action, but this is a brilliant piece of writing nonetheless. I especially love the little details about painting, insights of arts always appeal to me <3 And of course, the BaekYeol, I love how you build up their relationship :) The fic is so beautifully written, and also very touching.

This part really gets me, it's so simply written yet more meaningful than maybe a thousand words of description of what is love (I'd have quoted the whole para before that but this comment would be unnecessarily long so.. :D)

This was lovely! I was really on the edge of my seat the whole time - so much foreshadowing! Like, nooo, i dun want anyone to dieee ;___; (i totally thought baek would get a papercut from chanyeol's book or break one of the glass jars or something D:)

I liked this a lot! All the descriptions are really pretty and emotive, but not too over-the-top :D Plus it's nice to read a good Baekyeol fic from Chanyeol's perspective! ♥
