Just a little post-holiday update

We spent Christmas Eve with Zen's family and the day after Christmas with my family. I spent Christmas day wrapping and putting together a toy I got for my nephew, then I went to my folks house and made baked ziti and mashed potatoes as our vegetarian options for our dinner (my sister is a vegetarian). Zen went to his mom's for his yearly 15

I'm glad you had a good Christmas. Maybe the kind of rotten day you had today was a Karmic balance of sorts?

I hate people who go out of their way to be mean to animals. I also take it as a sign that something isn't quite right with them.

Of all the people in Zen's family, I'm least comfortable with his brother-in-law. The first time I met him, when we got into the car to leave, I said "your brother in law is kind of a dick, isn't he?" I think he has a cruel streak in him. When he teases the cat, he insists that she likes it because she could just go be somewhere away from him, but she stays near him.

I'm glad stuff went okay despite your sister bailing. It does sound suspicious, doesn't it? As for your tire, boy, have I played that game! So few places even have an air machine anymore. Sigh...

I am suspicious about my sister, but you never know with her. It also would have been a little elaborate, as she left the house for a few hours, but I do wonder if realizing that Zen would be there was a contributing factor.

Maybe I should have put an air compressor on my Christmas list! :)

I don't know what she was thinking, we knew that half the family was going to be out of the country and returning late in the day on Christmas, and that we planned on getting together the day after. I suppose if it was an out of town friend she hasn't seen for a long time, it might make sense, but still, she could have at least told us that she wasn't coming.

Yeah, every time I think LJ is getting better I sit and wait for a minute or two for my comment to post. Argh is right!

i too had a bitch of a time finding a working air pump! of 5 gas stations i went to, three had no air pump at all, and one had an air pump and it wasnt working. but i didnt know that til i put my coins in and nothing happened. i was pretty peeved by the time i got home.

It's so annoying! I have a friend in another state who said the air at his local station is FREE. By me it ranges from $1.00 to $1.50, and of course I'm always digging to make sure I have enough quarters. But trying to make it happen on Tuesday was just a comedy of errors. I am thinking about getting an air compressor for home.

there used to be a great little station just down the road that had free air, but its gone now, to make way for a car dealership.
