Still in the process of [at least theoretically] culling my book collection down to 100 key books. Moving on down the shelf takes us through Drama—my drama selection is pretty patchy and under-appreciated; I'm not sure that any of the scattering of volumes I have would be worth including in the final 100. "Major trends in Jewish Mysticism" is a beautiful book. I have that and "On the Kabbalah and it's Symbolism" by Scholem, and he is perhaps my favorite scholar/philosopher on the subject of Kabbalah. Tough call between him and Daniel C. Matt, but Matt is a translator first and foremost. I hope to buy the available volumes of his Zohar whenever I have real money.
