I'm so conditioned. Right now, I crave 粥 (rice porridge) and 油炸鬼 (fried bread-like substance - sounds yummy, eh? :D the more common English name I've seen is fried breadstick, but it's not like the comes-with-pasta type breadstick). Or actually, I want 炸兩. The fried stuff aren't good for colds, but I think I'm just REALLY prepared to go home now ( Read more... )

Hey Takaya-sensei has thrown some interesting kinks in the plot before. >:D
Though I doubt even she can turn Ha-san into a woman.

Feeling much better.

Now I'm hungry! Fried bread sticks are, unfortunately, not a food of this region, and thus I have never seen it around. (It is also possible that I have never seen it around because it's a breakfast food, and because Chinese people get up insanely early, I always miss breakfast like the lazy American that I am.)

Mmm, fooooood....

How sad! :(
Yeah, I never understood why people get out of bed early when they don't HAVE to.

It took me a while to type that because I was staring at Matsuken for a while...

Gr...now you've made me want rice porridge and the fried bread that goes with it! Hm..actually there are 2 types of the fried bread, one that is long and one that is a loaf that is sweeter. You can tell I've though about this =p Hopefully my family will stop by Chinatown and picks some up while I'm home =)

You mean 牛脷酥? My dad loves that stuff. Doesn't go so well with jook though.

Heh, I usually ate all the sweet bread before we got to the jook =p. But yeah, it's more of a snack, although it did get me through this horrendously bitter soup my grandma made ;)
