[It's another evening shift at Good Spirits. Buffy seems to be spending a lot of her time at the bar, soaking up the gossip and avoiding boredom. She is developing a habit of patrolling afterwards, before she heads home. It feels nice for the days to regain some form of structure. Less lazy

It was loud, but--[she switches direction.] What happened to you?

I kept hearing this strange howl that no one else in town could hear. I thought I was going crazy at first, but it turns out that it was Tenebrae calling to me. That's why I was the only one who could hear it.

I guess so. I don't think anyone would've believed me if I told them about it, though.

Yeah, but it wouldn't matter if they couldn't hear it for themselves.

People like to keep on believing what they want to believe. I'm so very well acquainted with that fact.

Yeah, like how back home? People aren't so keen on believing that vampires exist.

But wouldn't they believe if they got to see one for themselves?

They're happier to think they're gangs with skin conditions.

Oh, right, I forgot that vampires sparkle.

Real, scary, non-veggie vampires? Don't sparkle.
