I think all my favorite fictional places are not rooms, but are either entire buildings or are outside places. I'd like Mary's garden, too-- it has four walls. That's a room enough, right?

I agree! Mary's garden, all of Wonderland, Sunset Towers, Avonlea, Fantastica...

I have always loved boarding school stories as well. I just felt the need to update this booklist, in fact. Thank you! :)

I have not read any of the Mandie books nor have I seen the new film.
