Do you know any true YA titles for horsey peeps? It seems as if the industry believes horse-interest stops right at Junior High, and there are no older, edgier horse-centric titles. Unless you count the fact that sometimes a random person goes riding in the IT GIRL books.
Oh, the Thoroughbred series is one of my favourites! I loved how the characters actually aged, so you got to see what happened to Ashleigh as she grew older and then had a family of her own (the focus thus switching to her kids).
One series I don't see on here is the Stablemates series by Nikki Tate. The first book is called 'Rebel of Dark Creek'.

. . . and the depiction of teen riders in films like THE CRUSH and CRUEL INTENTIONS 2 are _not_ exactly what I want to impart to readers and viewers!
Please remind me, say, this weekend or next, to rack my brain and come up with some horse-happy stories for slightly older readers.
