The Cybils: 2007 Middle Grade Nominations

Dec 19, 2007 19:49

Nominations for The Cybils book awards closed on November 21st, 2007. The following week, category organizers posted the lists of nominees at the Cybils website. The nominating committees then had a little over a month to read and discuss the nominated titles and select between five and eight finalists per category. The judging panels will likewise read and discuss the finalists and select one outstanding title per category. The finalists were in January 2008; the winners, February 2008.

I was on the Middle Grade nominating committee along with Kate, Miss Erin, Sherry, Amanda, Jocelyn, and Kerry. Our fabulous administrator was Liz.

Here is the list of Middle Grade nominees. I placed the titles I've read in bold and linked to titles I've reviewed and author interviews I've conducted.
