Sep 25, 2010 16:35

[ Apparently, something weird has been going on for the last day or so. Willow hadn't really noticed it at first, but then she'd started hearing and seeing strange things. People popping up and disappearing out of nowhere. So, she'd done the only sensible thing: she'd gone looking for Giles. Unfortunately, he was as clueless as she was as to what ( Read more... )

[Frederic had been practicing on his piano which he obtained from the Malnosso just a few days ago when suddenly he heard a loud thud on the roof of the building. Walking over to open the window of the apartment, he peers out see to what exactly had hit the roof to make such a loud thud noise.]

What on earth was that? It couldn't have been some kind of animal, could it?

[ After a while of being stuck up on a roof, Willow's gotten a little bored. Falling silent, she hears the voice down below. ]

Nope, not an animal. [ Just two people stuck on a roof. ]

[Giles calls after her] Sorry to bother you.

Do you have a ladder handy, by any chance?

[Frederic looks up and is a bit surprised to see two people on the roof, but ponders for a moment before he speaks.] I do believe I saw a ladder in or by one of the stores in the village, perhaps I could go get for the both of you?

If you don't mind? We're, uh, kinda stuck up here.

Have been for a while. So, if you could, we would appreciate it.

Oh it's no trouble at all, please excuse me. [He closes the window and after some time, he returns with the ladder for the two of them and also places it against the building for them to climb down. Once placed against the building, he shouts up to them from at the bottom of the ladder.] You can climb down now!

[ Oh boy, this is going to be hard. Willow glances nervously at the ladder before crawling over to it and testing her weight on it. Once she's sure it's not going anywhere, she quickly climbs down and waits for Giles. ]

Thanks. I wasn't sure we'd ever get down from up there.

[Giles follows once Willow is down on the ground. He smiles in relief as soon as his feet touch solid ground]

And even if we had, we might have ended up somewhere worse.

[Bowing to both Willow and Giles, he smiles at them as well then speaks.]

It was no trouble at all, perhaps it was good I heard the two of you over my piano. Otherwise, you might have been stuck up there for even longer than you were. [He chuckles.] Oh please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Frederic Francois Chopin. It's been a pleasure to meet and help both of you.

[ his name gets a surprised look from Willow and then a frown. ] Chopin like the composer? [ ... Oh right, her name. ] I-I'm Willow Rosenberg. It would have been nicer to meet you when we weren't, y'know, landing on top of your roof.

[Giles also seems to recognize the name] Chopin? Really?

[And then he follows Willow's lead. Because, manners] Rupert Giles, by the way. It is very good that you heard us - both our journals are back at the library.

[Frederic is a bit use to this by now and only smiles with a faint laugh.] Yes, I'm the same man who is both the famous composer and pianist. From your reactions, I take it the both of you are from modern era Earth, or so I assume. Since I have met others from that time era who've also been rather...surprised to see me.

W-well, our times are just so far apart and we've heard a lot about you, so we didn't expect to actually, y'know, run into you here. Not that we mind! Of course we don't mind.

[ Geeze, Will, could your nerves be showing any harder? ]

[Giles glances at Willow as she stammers] Modern day Earth. Two thousand and two. You're, um, rather well known by then.

Of course, considering the sorts of other things we've seen here, I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised to see you.

[Being the gentleman he was and seeing how nervous Willow was, he takes her hand and kisses it in a gentlemanly fashion then lets go slowly.] Please do not fret so Miss Rosenberg, a lady with such beauty as yours should not wear a face of sadness but one of happiness.

[He turns back to Giles and smiles more.] So I've been told by many. To think I would be remembered even in the modern era, it's rather remarkable in itself. Though I am rather curious as to know how exactly I'm remembered. The only way I've seen thus far in this place is through history books.
