Out for a Walk. Not Stalking nobody. // Homeward Bound

Bleedin' tosser, Spike snarked inwardly, stalking angrily through the dark, aimlessly. Well, aimlessly in the direction of the Summers' residence. He was so wrapped up in his annoyed thoughts that he didn't notice the youngest Summers' girl until she was nearly at his side. "You're gonna get yourself killed, sneaking up on people like that, bit ( Read more... )

Different night than Buffy's night with Angel -- or so I've been assuming, since he posted that he stayed with Sleeping Buffy until dawn. Same night as Spike escorted Dawn back home.

But I think *I* goofed up, insinuating that Spike & Dawn met up the same night as Dawn was with Ethan and Faith. Which wouldn't work. So. Edited my post a little. Ehe. Sorry for any confusion :D

Strolling down the street, I saw a couple walking also.
One, it was insinuated at least, was a Vampire. My lip curled. The girl with him was unharmed, which was a good thing. She snuck back through her window and I followed him.

At the sound of a heartbeat nearing his position, Spike stilled. It just wouldn't do to have any of Slutty's little friends catch him underneath her window.

He sniffed the air cautiously, but the scent was unrecognizable. At least, it was unrecognizable under the heavy leftover fog of Harmony's perfume.

He didn't turn, nonchalantly keeping his back to the human. "You might as well come out," Spike grumbled to hide his tension. "Can hear your heartbeat a mile away," he added darkly, exaggerating.

I raised my voice so it could be heard, but stayed in shadow.
"As well, to be expected."
I've spent most of my life studying these things..
This one was either stupid, or wanted to be staked..

Spike turned towards the voice slowly, disguising his unease by casually lighting-up again. He let the silence stretch on for a moment, blowing a lungful of smoke in the stranger's general direction while regarding the shadowed figure with an air of mild irritation.

But just because he had no bite, didn't mean he couldn't bark the part.

"It's dangerous to be out this time of night, mate," he intoned mockingly. "All sorts of boogeymen going bump in the night."
