I always was interested in a music career as well. Not playing or writing, but producing or something or other. Obviously, I never got there. If I could go back and do things over I would go to school for animals. A job with animals sounds like the cats meow. I went to school and got a master's in behavioral and forensic sciences too late in life and can't find a thing in that field that pays enough. If I was living with someone I'd go for it and take a pay cut but can't do so with a mortgage and living by myself. I'm not absolutely unhappy but property management is starting to kill me after 20 years!

I so wish I could play piano. I purchased a keyboard to try and learn myself but that didn't happen.

Always wanted to learn guitar. Already know how to read music, thanks to piano lessons when I was 5-11. I've been picking it up again (no pun intended) and I'm determined to learn Dead Skin Mask. Somehow I got it onto my head that I should also learn to sing the lyrics while playing Jeff Hanneman's lead progressions.

I think you can do it. keep trying. At least you don't have to wait while your fingers heal from blisters... I'd read updates on ur progress here on lj.

Guitar would be awesome too, ever since I heard Eddie Van Halen, man, I love that dude! I haven't even turned on the keyboard in probably three years. Ironically I've always loved piano instrumentals and "love walks in" by Van Halen was the first one I've tried to learn. I did the whole band thing in elementary school, but wow, that was a billion years ago, lol.
