You can always ban them from your journal, it's pretty easy.

Go to http://livejournal.com/admin/console.
Enter: ban_set username
Click whatever the button says (I think it's execute but can't remember exactly)

They're banned from your journal & you don't have to worry about hoping they'll remove you.

And if you want to undo the ban, just enter ban_unset username instead :)
