Sleep deprivation = creativity?

May 19, 2012 15:26

So, Thursday night I got a total of 1.5hours sleep. By Fri lunch time I was practically dead on my feet. Mikey said I couldn't go to bed until at least 5.30 or I'd end up sleeping and getting up ridiculously early. I was itching to paint but the current project that I was working on was more about precision stuff. So about 4ish, I just decided to ( Read more... )

I like it.

It looks like, to me at least, that you've got an angel walking away from the viewer and into the rainbow, being slowly "swallowed up"/embraced/engulfed by the colors. I like it.

Sorry about the no sleep thing. Hope that gets better.

Hey babes, thankies :)

It's weird, one angle looks like an angel emerging, but tilt your head another way and it looks like it's being swallowed up.

The sleep is back to 'normal' for me, but on Fri I thought I was never going to sleep again. Went to bed at 5.30/6pm and it was gone 11 before I actually started to get any sleep (and then it was in little bits at first). So, yeah, distressing.

lol. Thankies. It's very much a reflection of where I was at that time *nods* and for that reason I've not messed with it (on the little things that bugged me) lol.

Mmm coffee, many sins are forgiven for coffee. ;)

Just catching up with stuff after weekend away. It's really beautiful, an angel rising out of darkness:-)

:) thankies. I'm really enjoying the slightly differing interpretations. I'm also proud of it considering it only took an hour or so to do & it was all with my fingers (the annoying part was having to stop to wash my hands 3 times lol). It makes me feel sleepy looking at it so it'll probably have to go in the bedroom (assuming I don't give it away). Have you read the SGA novel Impressions? I won't spoil in case you haven't but it's Lorne centric and he does all these paintings that make him 'feel' certain ways when he looks at them. I wondered if it was possible to imbue a painting with an emotion that others (or just the artist) can feel when by looking at them...and obviously, it is ;) lol.

Catching up here! I like your painting, by the shape of the wings I would say your angel is flying into the light of the rainbow.:))

Hope you are now sleeping better...I know all too well the horrors of being unable to do so.

*hugs*
