What's going on...

Because of the economy, we've had to change how we do things at Small Fryes.

No longer can we just charge our prices and ignore the people who can't afford more than $5 for lunch.

That was fine for the past 10 years, but times are 'a changing.' I've been quite busy promoting (and cooking) our new value cheeseburger and meal ( Read more... )

'scuse me, ma'am. Can I have one of them thar free cheeseburgers, please?

It's a great idea you had there and should certainly stimulate your business during the slower times, hon. And I'm also quite sure that they taste a fuck of a lot better than McPukals ever could hope to!

LOVE the icon! He looks like he's having a blast!

I'll send one to you 'down under.'

We ordered a McPuke today just to see what they offered and yuck! Mine are so much better. Mmmmm....

He was having fun. This year he was doing the same thing but it was just too damn cold most of the time. It was 10 degrees F this morning!

Except for vegans, is there anyone who doesn't?!?! LOL!

Yes, a naughty boy does fit me. :) An Orlando would fit me nicely too.

Well cheap burgers at least! :) I can't do that with my other ones. The food is way too expensive.

And yes, I'm counting on people buying it. :)

BTW, thank you for the Christmas card. *smooches*

Hey there you! I'm so glad that business has been picking up for you lately! A smart entrepeneure always responds to the economy, so that was a brilliant idea! And now you've made me hungry for a cheeseburger! I haven't had a good one since I made it myself on our outdoor grill this summer! I'm with you, by the way, McDonald's is just plain GROSS!

It's freakin' cold here right now, isn't it! And living in the foothills, it's even colder for you than where I am. Hope the big wind/snow/sleet/freezing rain storm that's supposed to hit tonight isn't too bad for you. Stay warm and safe, hon!

*hugs*

McDonalds is gross compared to my burger and a real steal at 3 for $5!!! You need to try one. Although it may be hard when it's so snowy everywhere right now. I have 2 feet of snow outside my door here. LOL!!!

We stayed warm and safe, but boy! We were so scared there would be so much snow we couldn't get out of our driveway. Well we did (and this morning was testament to how great our Expedition is). How's the snow where you are?

*smooches and hugs*

Hi! How was your Christmas, hon? I hope it was a good one! Ours went surprisingly well, all things considerd. We ended up moving Christmas Eve (which is always at our house) to my in-laws' (in University Place, basically western Tacoma, within view of the Narrows Bridge, to give you a general idea) because it was easier for everyone else to get there (both m-i-l and f-i-l have been battling colds so driving here was NOT something they were looking forward to, and s-i-l's family was driving to Lacey (south of Tacoma) later that night anyway). It actually worked out pretty well, once I managed to pack up half my kitchen and transport it to their place! See, we still had to bring the ham and turkey breast, as well as sandwich fixings (breads and cheeses), potato sausage, appetizers, cookies, fudge and two different desserts ( ... )

Whew! That does sound like a hectic day! LOL! Ours wasn't nearly that hectic. Actually, we stayed in all day and it was HEAVEN!!!!

We've all been working the shop and the sign we put out front that says 3 Cheeseburgers for $5. It works like a charm but it's been very tiring PLUS we had several employees who couldn't come to work because they were snowed in.

Yes, thank whoever for 4 wheel drive!

I hope to be posting pics of of the snow and Christmas soon.

Glad though your day was fun (I'm still sick and yeah, I was working during that time too).

It is a great idea! We were slammed on Monday and Tuesday when most businesses were slow (because of the snow and economy). And the burgers are really yummy. :)

Yes, I've heard he looks like Brian. :) Although, I guess I think of Orlando when I think pretty boy.

And a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!!!! *hugs and squishes*
