QAF Drabble B/J "Lightbulbs"

Apr 10, 2006 21:19

Hi! Just a little drabble/ficlet thingie.

Title: Lightbulbs
Author: Maria
Pairing: B/J
Timeline: mid-Season 1 (after Justin moved in with Deb)
Summary: Sometimes one needs the Brian Kinney-manual in order to understand Brian-speak.
Disclaimers: I don't own the boys or Cowlip (if I did, I would have cut off their allowance).
Warnings: mild language.

"Deb?! Vic?! Where are you guys?" Brian was yelling as he was opening the front door and walking into Deb's house. Michael followed close behind.

"Shit!" Debbie exclaimed with one hand on her hip while popping her gum. "Where's the goddamn fire?"

"What's going on?" Vic asked while running down the stairs.

"Your front door was unlocked. Shit Debbie! You need to be more careful. You have stuff," Brian was saying as he waved his hand in the general direction of the room "that's valuable and needs...protecting." As Brian said this, he started scratching the back of his head while looking down at the floor.

Debbie, Michael and Vic looked at each other and then back at Brian. "What," Debbie started waving her hand around the room mirroring Brian before "stuff?"

"You know...stuff," Brian replied. Brian then repeated himself by exasperatedly saying "just...Stuff!"

"Well I better go and hide the Waterford, oh sister of mine," Vic snickered.

"And, I'll go and get the Picasso and Monet from the upstairs' bath," Debbie said in a haughty voice. Both Vic and Debbie started snickering.

"And I'll take Ma's fine jewels and Vic's Rolex and put them somewhere safer," Michael said while putting his hand on Brian's shoulder.

While the three of them were having a good laugh at Brian's expense, Justin came down the stairs finishing off what looked like had been a large sandwich.

"Hey, wassup. Ho Bran?" Justin said around a mouthful of sandwich.

"Sunshine honey, don't talk with your mouth full," Debbie admonished.

"Well if that were the case, I could actually get him to shut up once in awhile," Brian said while looking at Justin. Justin stuck his tongue out at Brian. Brian scowled then smiled back at him.

Debbie and Vic looked at Brian and Justin then looked at each other. Brian was pretty sure he could see the little lightbulbs going off above their heads.

"I'm sorry Brian. We'll make sure to lock the doors from now on," Debbie said in all seriousness.

"Yeah," Vic continued "we'll make sure to keep all our 'stuff'...safe."

Brian let the tiniest of smiles cross his face.

"What," Michael screeched "Stuff?!"

Unfortunately for Brian's best friend, the filament on that lightbulb would be forever dim.

Feedback is welcome.
