One of my favorite Beats. Richard Brautigan is my favorite - when I read his stories and poems, it was an amazing new world that was familiar since most of them are in the Pacific NW.

...a little legendary writer history - Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. was my neighbor for one year when I was living in Northampton, MA and he was teaching at Smith College.

I said hi to him once - but that was it.

We had the same schedule for breakfast and I saw him almost daily at the nearby market getting his usual breakfast: coffee, bagel, fruit, chocolate.
