thanks, Kelly....now, THIS one is actually two-dimensional. The other one was as well, in that it's a photo image. But that was a photo image of the original drawing with one of it's layers pulled back.
I went through those images and found one I particularly liked and felt I could pull a likeness of Johnny Depp from. And printed that to drawing paper.
Now I'm trying to flesh out rendering and still maintain the three dimensional illusion.
You picked an excellent subject. (I thought those were Depp's eyes and eyebrows, but was doubting myself earlier.) Not just because Johnny Depp is so hot -- and so damn cool -- but also because the idea of layers really suits him. He's got layers like an onion, and there's something wonderful about the new piece. Don't look now, but your fine art is showing, I believe.
