Love the icon - ain't that so true. ;)

If my request makes me an asshole, please let me know and I'll make it more focused and simple.

Oh, the icon is our anthem, isn't it? *G* And your request is totally fine, dear - never a bad thing to have options.

Glad you are joining us again, Tal. *hugs*

Psst, you need to change the date on the third bullet of the Rules & FAQ section. It still says 2013. :)

And on the fifth, which says September 1. Sorry for being a PITA. :)

No, not a PITA, definitely. I try to check and make sure everything's changed right but those slipped through. Thanks for letting me know!

And it's great to see you - will you be joining us this year? :)

Probably not. I'm really out of practice and all I've written in quite a while is a bit of RP. I don't think my stress level could handle the pressure. =)

Time to start thinking about my request! SO excited for this challenge! It really gets me thinking and writing about characters I never would have otherwise. Plus, the deadline actually lets me get things done (case in point: the only 2 stories I've completed this year are the results of this challenge). Thanks, mods!

Man, I hear you - I think almost 80% of my work has been swap fics. Something about the deadline works really well to get me to actually finish something. It's also stretched and pushed me. I'm glad you have that kind of experience as well.

Your enthusiasm is always appreciated!

I know it! The deadline works for me for short stories, but I've been hacking away at this multi-chapter fic of mine for years. At least, I always have a New Year's Resolution. :) I think what really helps me finish a fic is that it is for someone else. That idea of giving a fic as a gift. I've never come across another challenge that does it. It's very rewarding. And fun and panic-inducing all at the same time.

Yes, to all of this! Sometimes I've even got so panicked I've thought of defaulting, but it's always been the idea that this is a gift for someone else that makes me finish it and stay the course. And while I have a love/hate relationship with the stress and deadline, it's also helped me write stories I never would have otherwise.

Very glad you enjoy it - and will be sending your assignment your way soon!

I only missed one swap but it feels like a really long gap. I'll sign up when I work out what to ask for.

Have no idea why I do this to myself. Like a lemming going over the cliff.

You enjoy the community misery, be honest. Also, you've written some stunning fics with this, that's probably why.

I hear you - took the last one off to work on my own projects. Yes, I remember you dying of laughter at the thought. Now I have to get back on the horse - somehow the asking for something is one of the hardest parts.

*offers Kei a hand* We can always plead insanity of some kind... I am doubting myself.
