Why are some people so stupid? Stupid as in, when I said 'I don't think A is a good thing', they reacted in such an over-sensitive-emo-wannabe-way, telling me 'oh, so you don't agree with it because you're such a [insert your curse word here] who thinks that it's X and Y and Z

Stupid doesn't even begin to cover it. I hate people who don't entitle other people to their own opinions, and instead get all carried away and personal about it. I mean, it'd be different if they actually had an intelligent counterpoint to kindly point out, but attacking a person is no. JUST NO.

Yuh, when you have a chance to look back, you can smile and laugh.

But when you're still in the 'something-you'd-hope-to-be-discussion-but-turned-out-to-be-some-kind-of-wank' with them, what I felt was like the mixed feeling of 'wtf with these people' and 'oh, man, I really need to blog about this' and 'thank God at least I can still restrain my mouth from sprouting nonsense in public like them' and 'I wonder if this 'wank' is gonna end soon' XDDD

Yes, I agree with you. Sometimes when meeting such people you even stop caring about showing them what's right and start looking for escape routes.

Yes, I kind of feel your pain. Thank God that even though my univ friends is a bit annoying sometimes, they haven't fell into that kind of idiocy orz
