Thanks for the review.I've come across the name of Monette before,so time for me to read some of her work.I like the sound of the plot, and putting Flewelling up as a comparison only makes me more eager!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery from your sickness.

They are good and at the moment three books are of the series are out, I'm going to put up the second on today. I love Flewelling. :) But yeah these are right up there with her books I think.

Thanks, I finally feel good enough to drink coffee again. *happy dance*

I was looking at that today and actually planning on picking it up after I finish reading the third book. So far I've only finished her first two. *grinz* but that definately looked interesting. I've been looking at Elizabeth Bear's stuff for a while, heard her name mentioned in a few places but I haven't read any of her other work yet.

Yeah I've been on the site my problem is, it mostly just doesn't stick in my head and I don't want to go running to look it up on the website all the time. :)

Yeah, they look good but haven't gotten there yet. So much to read and not enough time to read it all in. :) Though I suppose it's better to have too much then not enough.

*chuckles* Yeah exactly, I wasn't so much bothered by the seasons, because that you could pretty much infer from other referances to 'weather', or 'clothing', and 'temperature'. What mostly bothered me was the use of the 'septad', in it's variations. It was explained but I never kept it straight. Though again a lot of it you can figure out based on context which is why it's mostly just a minor irritation to me.
