We've had some terrific challenges in the Karaoke, an interesting group of stories, a poem, even a vid! And we might have another straggler or two showing up for Cheap Sunglasses. I hope so. Since this is a Halloween challenge - wouldn't it make more sense to set the deadline for October 31?

We didn't feel that was enough time. It would've given people less than 3 weeks -- not enough time for me that's for sure. And the topic doesn't *have* to be halloween-ish, it's just one of the possibilities. We'd always planned to give folks at least 6 weeks on any deadline. (I can't imagine putting stuff together faster than that. Not with my life!) We just didn't want to get too close to Thanksgiving. Hope that makes sense.

I just thought that it would have been nice to have some Halloweenish S&H stuff for the actual date, but... okay. Makes sense. That way maybe even I can come up with something for the challenge. We'll see. I just got the "Poltergeist" soundtrack from a friend and I can so see Starsky dragging Hutch to the cinema in 1982...
