Yes, I'm very happy with the results of my little Amazon Associate reseller shop. Y'all have been just wonderful buying, recommending, and generally supporting my efforts, and I really appreciate it.

But on another hand, Amazon's a business, and it makes business decisions that have social ramifications and implications. Like This one, ref'd in Read more... )

innit? and i don't know yet what 'we' the public can do about it, because it's a private business. I know for SURE i'm going to be listing all the rest of my GLBT studies books, though, as WELL as my "Fighting Censorship" books and other books like that.

I say, joke 'em if they can't take a fuck.

what, like no one will notice? i'm an amazon seller now. we're supposed to check our numbers, our metrics, a coupla times a day at LEAST. ummmmmm...

One of my f-listers, alex-beecroft, had pointed this out a few days ago - she has one of the novels that was affected by this decision. Just FYI if you want to see her LJ about it.

thank you, yes. friend of mine's been following along through meta)writer's blog among other places. it's just awful and awfully stupid decision making.

it's rather horrifying to me that such an amazing company has made such a decision. the disappointment is fierce.

i just have to hope we're going to see jeff bezos on charlie rose or oprah explaining this in some real way. cos whoa, dude. way to fuck up amazon's image and hurt your sellers.
