This is such a good idea. It's not the first time pheromones have been used to deter insects. (In apiology I learned about using pheromones for bees) I think it's awesome how we're finding less destructive methods of controlling pests.

I find this article riveting. I've always known that fetal factors affected us later in life, but I never knew the extent. I found the influence of the mother's mood and stress levels especially interesting.

This essay literally enchanted me. I really was taken by the author's language and voice. It was really a perfect 830am Thursday morning piece and I'm super excited that I came across the London Review. Everyday it seems another essay or review sucks me in.

I found this article on the Scientific America website rather interesting. It does a really great job of including different risk factors that are usually in place when a person is suicidal, along with tons of facts (suicides are most common on Mondays and least common on Fridays) which I find incredibly compelling.
