dear boys was EXACTLY what i was hoping for. pure ian - suave, sly, subtly pushy, a beautiful turn of phrase (also in his internal monologue). such a gorgeous structure too - everyone so well characterised from ian's perspective, then finally a look inside ian himself. fabulous to see him with dom, as well - someone without orlando's naivety, billy's cynicism or elijah's drive to learn - someone just as sly and pushy and insinuating as ian himself.

"Dom," said Ian, mildly, "How nice to see you, dear boy."

you should have seen me grin.

this is a really great piece of writing and i truly loved it. thank you *so* much.
