my first week of seeing patients has taught me a lot. mostly, though, it's taught me that harvard students are expected to work FREAKING HARD. for every patient they see, they are expected to read up textbooks, uptodate, journal articles etc until they know every detail of the physiology, pathogenesis, investigations, and management options for ( Read more... )

I would argue perhaps that med students in Harvard are selected from the absolute upper echelon of students available in all of America (and perhaps the world ( ... )

The interesting lesson to learn is if students in another decent American medschool that isn't considered ivy league ends up with a similar group of students as to here.
