I dunno, maybe I should ask the other me in my dream.

...is that even possible?

[He's trying to wrap his head around it, he really is. You can probably hear the gears attempting to turn.]

Next time you go grocery shopping, you might want to avoid the Pudding of Internal Conflict and Guilt.

I try, but pudding is my daughter's favorite food. It's kinda hard to avoid...

Well, that's fine. Just check the labels next time so you don't end up buying the guilty kind.

I highly doubt they'd sell something like "Guilt-Flavored" pudding... but uh, thanks for the advice. I guess.

Who were those other people, Daddy?

And...were you planning on leaving me?

Reply

slammingtables March 21 2009, 01:23:09 UTC
Um, just some of Daddy's weird friends...

Ack! N-No, of course not! I wouldn't ever leave! It's... it's just a dream, OK? Nothing to worry about!

Why haven't I ever met them? You know Daddy, friends are friends no matter who they are.

Oh! Okay, just making sure. I'd be really upset though if you did leave me.

Um, well... Larry just sorta falls out of touch, sometimes. He's not exactly someone I meet up with on a day-to-day basis.

(Heck, not even a week-to-week, or month-to-month basis...)

As for the other friend, she's a bit busy in her village, so you probably won't meet her for a very long time, unfortunately.

I-I know, and that's why I promise that I won't.

These are disturbing times.

I would avoid pudding until the guilt trip has vanished, were I you~

You really think the pudding will do that in real life? I don't think so...
