Actualy, most of the newer LCD and Plasma TVs should have at least a 10 year life cycle, if not more.

Still, I'm glad I droped Comcast last year.

Man, and here I thought COCKS...er, I mean, COX Communications was bad. XD Mostly it's just their customer service, though. The actual service itself is decent. They made everyone switch to digital a looong time ago.

Reminds me that I still have to figure out how to set up cable in my room. I have a 32" LCD TV 720p that I've been using as a monitor for a while now. It has a built in DVD player, but the thing is retarded and for some reason, I can't seem to get another DVD player to hook up to the TV properly. :/ It will play the video (if crappily) but not the sound. I hope I can figure it out, 'cause it's bugging the shit out of me.

Hi Libby,

Well, according to Crapcast, it's the decision of our local TV stations that they broadcast the picture that way for us, so it's out of their control --;. The operator I talked to yesterday said they couldn't go against the wishes of the TV station if that's how they wanted things.

He also said I was the first person to complain about this. Methinks I'm just too picky when it comes to seeing the full picture or nobody is in the situation I'm in X(!
