Dad has MORE on his camera IF I can get them off it o-O.
I wasn't sure if they would allow me to photograph pastries in the shop, but when I got back with them, all I could think about was, "MUST EAT PASTRIES NOW!"
I missed the Louvre's loan to the Minneapolis Institute of Art, but I saw it in the paper Xb. The statue of it was spectacular, but it's on Dad's camera.
Actually, I don't think any of the guards would yell at you for getting too close to any of the paintings ^^;! I saw one woman photographing a flowers on black background painting just INCHES away from it, and no one yelled at her o-O! The only painting that the guards care about is Mona Lisa which has a glass case surrounding her and ropes to indicate just how close you can get to her.
Yep, I always carry extra memory cards and batteries for my camera while on vacation, and I take my camera with me everywhere I go! You just never know when you're going to see something worthy of taking a picture!
Did you find that you had enough time to explore the Louvre? I've heard you can spend a week there and still not see it all!
I carried an extra memory card but not a battery ;_;! Dad carried around extra batteries (3 for one camera) and even an extra camera o-O!
I think we almost had enough time to explore the Louvre IF we didn't stare at any one painting or area for very long. We still had a lot of Louvre leftover that we didn't get to see (i.e. the Egyptian section). I think even with our speed Louvre tour, we would still need a few extra hours to finish the entire Louvre though.
That's so cool that you got to go to the Louvre! I thought it would be terrible at all times of day to see the super famous pieces but it sounds like you guys had no problem. There's so much wonderful stuff there though, it sounds so neat. Thanks for the write up! I'm glad to hear you had a good time!
