I'm really loving my custom ringtones on my new cellphone! So far, besides the Kim Possible Kimmunicator beep and the Totally Spies compowder alert, I downloaded the 5 notes for Close Encounters of the Third Kind to use for my grad school classmates, the Good Eats theme song, in both simplified and full, for my sister who LOVES Food Network, and ( Read more... )

I have occasionally wondered what ringtones I would set for friends if I actually could stand to carry a phone on me. I also wonder what themes I wish my friends would set as a personal ringtone for me. I know the Transformers scene transition music cue would be the most obvious one for those who know me. I would also like the Katamari Damacy theme or Castlevania's theme as alternates. I may not like cell phones, but ringtones are fun.

That sketch is totally cool! And has given me an idea for another City of Heroes toon! And I seriously should stop making new toons!

Oooh, lovely drawing! Congrats.

I have the Kim Possible beep set to notify me of text messages. :) You can always just change your main ringer around a lot, like I do!

Hi Lisa,

Ooo, that sounds like a great idea, but I can't set it to notify me of text messages because it's an MP3 X(! I need it in MIDI format to set it there. You wouldn't happen to know how I can convert it from MP3 to MIDI, would you? I tried Googling for a program, but the ones I tried didn't work ;(!

You can't convert an MP3 to a midi file, unfortunately. It has to be recomposed.
I found a midi file of it online:

Can you use MIDI files you've found online?

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the link! Yup, I can use MIDI files I've found online which is how I got all those other ring tones downloaded.

I just tried that MIDI file, but it skips sometimes while I play it --;. Thanks for helping me find it though.
