AUGH! I was going to post a little review of the Death Note live action movie PART 1 which I saw Tuesday night yesterday, but I spent most of yesterday panicking and running around like a chicken with its head cut off because I LOST my spare car key ;_;! Somewhere somehow, I LOST my spare car key while running around Tuesday. Because I have this ( Read more... )

As much as I liked watching Death Note PART 1, I agree with most of what you said. Yes, there should have been subtitles when there was Japanese text going all around the screen from the newspaper headlines and such. Yes, some of the voice acting was a bit . . . suspect. I knew there were a couple of the Death Note "rules" missing at the end of the movie when I said to myself, "Wasn't there this rule, and that one...?" Of course, it's tough to get all of that into a 2+ hour movie.

Overall, I enjoyed it, and I will watch part 2 with great earnest.

Hi McKenzie,

You've got to watch Iron Man 8D! I'm no Robert Downey, Jr. fan either, but he was pretty good in Iron Man. I loved his cute robot helpers who kept spritzing him with fire extinguisher foam, and I LOVED seeing him crash X)! He also made me want to eat a cheeseburger from Burger King.

Hi McKenzie,

That's fine too ;)! That way, you don't have to wait through the end credits to see the little bit at the end that hints at the sequel. Those end credits were LONG!

I like the Death Note movie as a whole. Just not the Anime dub. I also liked Light and L's actors and I even liked Ryuk. And I believe he was mostly a big puppet and not all CGI. But I had already seen the movie subbed when I downloaded it on my computer, so I was already use to the Japanese. Plus, really, how can you dub over mouth movements that are clearly in another language. I know other countries do that to our movies when they are released in that country. But me personally find that annoying to watch.

Until the movie comes out on DVD, I'll just enjoy the fansub on my computer! ^^
