Why not get a car you like and want, and not just what your parents think you should have? I mean, if it's your car to drive, right?
I still remember my Mom's 1991 Buick...when I was first learning to drive, I drove it, and it wasn't a bad car at all, but it's gone the way of car death as well. It's currently still in their driveway, but I'm told it'll be donated soon. Aww, such memories! But, it doesn't run anymore and my Mom can't really drive now with all her health issues, so it's not needed. (And I don't want it, LOL.)
Good luck with the "newbie", and Bon Voyage to your oldbie. It's hard to let go of good ol' reliables!
That's the thing. I'm not even sure what I want for a car either =/. I've been indifferent about getting a new car ever since I found out my old car can not be fixed. If I had my way, I would get my old car fixed ;b, but everyone, including the repairman, says I shouldn't.
I'd dare say it's more cost-effective to just get a new one than to have to keep tossing money into the old one, but when you've gotten used to those "steady and reliable" cars, it's sort of tearing a person in two directions at once! If only they made cars like they used to...
Sonia, if you really don't want the Buick then I would say get something else? :( No one should be totally unhappy with a new car! Get something you really like, even if it's not your original baby (or brand). I hope things work out anyway!
That's the thing. I'm not even sure what I want for a car either =/. I don't think I'll be unhappy with the Buick, especially since I know they're somewhat reliable. If I have my way, I would get my old car fixed and keep it forever 8(!
The only people I know who own a hybrid is Dave's parents. They get good gas mileage, but other than that, I have no clue.
I love love love looooooove my 2007 Honda Civic. I get very good gas mileage on it when I'm not speeding. I usually am able to get 30mpg or 240mi per $20 fill up.
Good luck getting a new car! Car shopping sucks. My mom and her boyfriend did it for me. :D
From what I've heard, hybrid cars also break often. Parts just fail all over the place. And if you don't want to buy the Buick, DONT! A car is a major purchase and you shouldn't SETTLE!

That will be coming true in 2 weeks, though.
I guess another wish would be for the same relationship to be a little easier. But if it isn't hard, it isn't worth it.

Actually, I'm a bit indifferent on what car I want =/. Ideally, I wish I had enough moola to keep repairing my old car ^^;.
