And in the meantime, all the landfills get stuck with this techno-junk instead of being reusable with replacement parts. Oy...that is a very fascinating discussion you guys had, though! I've always felt the same about the subject, which probably explains why I have so much stuff I never throw away! LOL.

Sounds like an article I read in an issue of Discover. Basically, we do have a lot of innovation, but the current industries are built on existing/older technology. Sort of a new face on old products. It kind of puts a crimp on the image of joining a company and hoping to improve it with some hot new product; the company may think it's not worth the risk. :(

The problems with Mac Cubes have plagued all Macs for awhile now. There should be a bunch of iMacs just waiting to go next in the same way. Apple depends on a Mac-users stupidity to get a new one rather than salvage it or upgrade it. :/

I'm so glad I don't like Macs as much as PCs. I don't have all that fun stuff like the iPod or anything. But still, even I never expected such a low, no matter how long it's gone on!!

Hi Jazz,

I'm still a Mac person myself. Macs are so much easier to debug than PCs! Of course, I'm talking about a 15+ year old Mac here --;!
