The internet never ceases to amaze me o-o! Somebody already posted the gravestone for the Tomarkens on Find-A-Grave:

I assume that's just the placard/placeholder waiting for the real gravestone.

Hi Katy,

Hmmm, I can't remember how long it took for my grandparents' gravestones to be finished and finally put into place =/. I'll have to ask my parents. They're buried somewhat next to Jackie Chan's and William Ho's teacher ^^;.

Hi Katy,

According to my Mom, it takes at least 3 months for a gravestone to be made and put into place o-O! I've never seen a placard before, but I have seen 2 burials. The person who posted the placard is a 12 year old boy who likes finding gravestones of famous people. I guess he went too early XP!

Wow...that's kind of morbid. Although I know people do that, normally it's the really well-known types people seek. People come up to Renton (Washington) ALL THE TIME to trek to Jimi Hendrixs' grave, it's strange, but I guess...if it's the closest they can get and want to pay respects, it's okay?

Yeah I was kind of surprised by the site too, but it could be really useful if I knew a lost friend of mine died in a particular area I was visiting and wanted to pay my respects.

I suppose also with famous people, it's like if you couldn't meet them in life anymore, at least you can visit their grave.

I'm fascinated by older graves though and like to visit old cemetaries and churches on the East Coast.

Plus, I have lots of respect for a good epitaph.

Very very true. I know I'd want to find tombstones if I were able to find anyone from my past, or even relatives I never knew.
