Why?

Everyone present - those who'd gone through puberty, at any rate - knew how he'd felt about Roosevelt's "Bolshevik poison", giving everything to those who hadn't earned the right to it.

As opposed to leaving it in the hands of people like Fontaine and not giving it to those who needed it.

Even if he'd wanted to go back, the governments would want his head over the people he'd stolen from under their noses.

And what exactly did you lead them to, hmm?

A world that he despised and that would happily return the favor.

Why go back?
