If England had been paradise, the honeymoon was absolute bliss. No longer worried about their families interrupting, she'd jumped him the instant they got to their room, reviewing everything they'd practiced when no one was looking.
Even better was that they could be themselves - not the scatterbrained linguist and the not-so-dutiful daughter - and do things like bitch about how Theresa was obviously Snaps's dream daughter or plan their reasonably-weirdness-free future.
But the best part wasn't the freedom or the sex (though it was pretty damn good), but the quiet moments when they would feed each other ice cream.
