I've surpassed a record.  I spent 5&1/2 hours performing a single surgery today, which bests my previous "best" time of 5 hours.  Luckily the dog did well under anesthesia, and there were no major complications.  The surgery itself was just more extensive than anticipated.  It was an anal gland removal, in case you're wondering

OK, I'm new to Slackergirl's journal here, so I was reading back among these older entries. And I just had to point out the irony here. SG noted the song she was listening to while posting was "Candy Mountain Cave" by the letter Y. And then Macula posted a reply...... with a unicorn icon. One that says "time doesn't heal all wounds." (Like, say, kidney wounds?) I know that SG can see the humor there, though I'm not sure Macula will. :)

OK, I find the wounded kidney thing funny (and honestly never thought about it before since I picked my icon and user name totally separately), but Candy Mountain? Huh?

Unfortunately I'm a little lost... but I don't know if that's because I'm dense or because it's more of an 'inside' thing... lol
